Charmaine De Souza
Charmaine began her career as control room operator in a busy Metropolitan Police station, subsequently joining BBC where she specialised in HR work and took her CIPD qualifications.
Charmaine then joined the Home Office to lead a national police HR programme to reform the way that new police recruits were trained and tested which is still running today.
She went on to hold a number of HR Director roles in the Civil Service working as HR Director for Enforcement and Compliance at HMRC and then going on to lead executive talent and succession planning at the Cabinet Office. Currently Charmaine is HR Director at the Greater London Authority which support the Mayor of London and London Assembly.
Charmaine holds a MSc in Organizational Behaviour from Birkbeck College and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).
